It was a feeling of going against gravity. Where your stomach goes into your chest, and in some absurd way your heart sinks into the depths of it. Yet, you are motionless, nestled in between lanky limbs that curl around you. Your positioning hasn’t changed, nor has gravity, as you lay still on the surface. And although there is nothing but emptiness above you, a weight heaves into your chest. Content, yet so uneasy. The only light is a faint glow from a muted monitor, where particles dance in an unsighted fashion. Your only comfort is the stir of the sheets, or a murmur. If only dreams laced into one another, you wouldn’t feel so alone.
